Our Church Partnership
A valued part of our school family
At St John’s Stonefold Church of England Primary School, our relationship with our parish church is an important part of our identity as a Church of England school.
We are proud to enjoy close links with the church, its clergy and congregation. This partnership helps our children experience what it means to belong to a wider Christian community and supports us in living out our school vision:
“Rooted and Established in God’s Love: Nurture, Grow, Fly” (Ephesians 3:17)

Our partnership in action
Collective Worship
Fr Simon regularly leads collective worship in school, helping our children explore Christian teaching, prayer and reflection as part of our worshipping community.
Celebrating the Christian Year
The church supports us in marking important events within the Christian calendar, helping children understand their meaning within the life of the Church.
Worshipping in Church
Our children visit church for collective worship, special services and celebrations throughout the Church year, strengthening their sense of belonging to the wider parish community.
Leadership and Community
Members of the church community are closely involved in the life of our school, including through governance. This strengthens the relationship between school, church, families and our wider community.
Growing together in faith
Our church partnership is about much more than occasional visits.
Through worship, prayer, celebration and shared experiences, our children have opportunities to encounter Christian faith as something lived within their community. Our relationship with the parish complements the Christian character of St John’s Stonefold and our commitment to helping every child nurture, grow and fly.
Our shared community
School and church, growing together
We greatly value the support of Fr Simon and the wider church community and are proud of the close relationship between St John’s Stonefold and our parish.
