Accessibility statement
Accessibility statement for St John’s Stonefold CE Primary School website
This statement applies to https://sjstonefold.com/
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, you should be able to:
– navigate most of the website using a keyboard or screen reader
– zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
– see a visible focus indicator on interactive elements
– use clear headings and links that explain their purpose
https://abilitynet.org.uk/ has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
Compliance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) **version 2.1 Level AA** across our website and are working towards **WCAG 2.2 Level AA** where feasible.
This website is compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. The non‑accessible content is listed below.
– Some PDFs and documents published before 2023 may not be fully accessible (for example, missing tags, headings or alternative text). We plan to fix or replace key documents with accessible HTML or PDF.
– On some pages, the keyboard may not be sufficiently visible. We are updating our styles so that focus is clearly visible and by sticky page elements.
– Some interactive elements may be smaller than the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum (24×24 CSS pixels). We are increasing target sizes and spacing in our theme.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
– Embedding WCAG 2.1 AA into our design and content workflows:
– Progressing towards WCAG 2.2 AA for focus appearance, target size and alternatives to drag operations;
– Annual external re‑test and quarterly internal checks.
